Surely all of you already know this public transportation that has a long body and has its own track? 

    Currently, the train is one of the most popular public transportation in Indonesia. Ticket prices are relatively affordable and cheap, besides that the train is also one of the safe and most comfortable public transportation.

The train itself has class types with different facilities, according to the ticket price we pay. The more expensive the ticket price, the higher the class and the facilities obtained when taking the train.

The following are the types of classes on the train:

1. Economy Class

The economy class is the most economical class of all classes on the train. Of course, the ticket price is the cheapest. Economy class trains have 80-106 seats in one carriage and are the class with the most seats. The difference in train class can also be seen from the seating arrangement.

The economy class seating formation is opposite each other with a 2-3 or 3-3 seat configuration, depending on the train. However, economy class is equipped with air conditioning or air conditioning. In addition, there is also an electric plug and a small table near the window.

2. Business Class

Business class offers better comfort than economy class because the number of passengers is only 64 seats in one carriage, when full. Business class tickets are also more expensive than the economy class

The 2-2 seat arrangement is applied in business class so that your seat becomes more comfortable. The seat backs in business class are also not very upright, although they can't be adjusted as desired, at least you can enjoy the trip.

3. Executive Class

Executive class trains are the elite type in the train class. Seating comfort in the executive class is also maximized because the seats are softer and the seat backs are adjustable.

The seating arrangement is 2-2 with 50 seats in one carriage. but there is enough legroom and there is a footrest, so you are more comfortable when straightening your legs.

The executive class has also been equipped with electric plugs, pillows, blankets, a television, a dining table, a toilet, and air conditioning. Executive train travel time is also faster because it does not stop at many stations. With such facilities, the price is certainly more expensive than business class.

4. Priority Class

Since 2017, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) has launched Priority Class. This class is above the executive with facilities that are certainly better and pamper passengers.

The interior design of the Priority train carriages is also more luxurious. In one carriage, there are only 28 seats, with two seating arrangements each on the left and right sides.

In addition to having AC and private power outlets, you also get blankets and pillows if you have a priority class train. In addition, priority class also offers TV facilities in every passenger seat, just like on an airplane.

5. Sleeper Class

Sleeper class on Indonesian trains is relatively new because it was only launched by PT KAI in 2018. Sleeper Train offers luxury for passengers because this type of class is the most luxurious in the train class.

You can imagine being on a business class plane when you board a sleeper train, because of the resemblance. In addition to price, the difference between the sleeper class and other classes lies in the design, comfort, and facilities provided.

The seat can be adjusted up to 150 degrees like a bed. There is a touchscreen TV in front of the seat and a private power plug. Besides getting pillows and blankets, you are also allowed to bring food from outside.
